On October 14, 1924 German Martens settled in the new world record for distance with a flight of 20 km. and duration of 18 minutes. Thus arose the airport on the outskirts of Asiago. On August 3, 1933 died the Aviator roanese Romeo Sartori and to him was dedicated with the opening ceremony of the August 23, 1936.
In the 1970s the structure was equipped with a concrete runway and is passed to the civil force's remit. Now you can attend to gliding or admire the Plateau from above with an aircraft.
