By 1958, after the Suppression of the line, it became the seat of the bus station. In the years ' 80 the building was bought by the Comunità Montana and became an object of study for a major renovation to become the headquarters of the "Dear Regency of 7 Municipalities". Work began in 1984 that lasted three years. The structure remained the same as was imposed by the Superintendency of cultural heritage of Verona.

Asiago station, as well as the entire assets of the former Venetian Railways, including the area of the ice stadium, were purchased by the municipality of Asiago in 1977 or 1978 for a total price of approximately 110 million old Lira.
Subsequently the town succumbed to Comunità Montana the only station building. The renovation has not complied with the old structure: significant changes have occurred in the roof (not shingles), in the Auditorium of the Regency (no glazing and Windows in the roof) and garden in which stood a fountain.
